TypeTool 3 has the same essential drawing tools as FontLab Studio 5, which many designers have considered their favorite Bézier drawing tool for more than a decade. The combination of pen, rectangle, ellipse, knife and eraser tools allows you to create accurate Bézier curves. With numeric and freeform transformations, both manual and font wide, you can quickly align characters to match designs.
TypeTool includes unique VectorPaint technology that simulates bitmap tools in vector editing environments. This feature gives designers unprecedented freedom to create new contours. All VectorPaint tools can be used in vector mode or in "black" (filled) or "white" (transparent) color. Black color adds painted lines to the characters shape, and white color draws lines and acts as a very powerful eraser. Of course, all paintings are impractical, editable and can be transformed in any way with any editing tool.

Multilingual fonts
Reorder, rename, or transcode characters using two encoding modes with an unlimited number of encoding tables and code pages.
With TypeTool, you can easily work with large Unicode fonts that contain up to 65,000 characters. Pages with double-byte characters that are common in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean are fully supported. The special Font Map panel previews the entire Unicode tag area and can be used to compare the font to one of the standard tag pages.
Printing
Any font chart can be printed on the printer. TypeTool prints a font table that contains examples for all font shapes, names, and tags according to the current encoding. You can also print any character or sample string for calculations/kerning. If your printer supports color, TypeTool uses it to highlight information in the font table.
